CLEAN SUSTAINABLE BIOMASS
With further investment back into the business we have also established a Liberian plant with an alternative product which is waste from the rubber wood plantations. These produce latex but after 25 years of production the trees slow down or stop producing latex altogether.
Ordinarily these African plantations then become redundant and the trees are just felled and burnt. The waste wood is not construction grade and requires special treatment for the production of furniture and furnishings.
From our research and testing at Biomass this waste product is better than most alternative fuels available.
We started SWEP Industries back in 2013 which immediately led us to Ghana and after investing heavily to establish the business, much of our research and development was spent testing and investigating alternative green fuel solutions other than virgin forest.
With bamboo as the base we have tested many different products such as corn cobs, cassava skin, coconut shell and sawdust. Ghana is home to many small independent sawmills and the sawdust is actually a problem for most and ends up being burnt to dispose of it, whereas our green solution disposes of the waste material whilst simultaneously creating high quality pellets that in many cases are better than those marketed in Europe. Resulting in saving thousands of acres of virgin forest each year.

So we must ask ourselves why European energy producers keep using virgin forest for fuel when Africa has virtually an unlimited supply of combustible wood ideal for this type of energy production.
As production slows or stops within the plantation the tress are felled and replanted for the next production cycle.
So here at SWEP Industries for every tree used from these plantations is another tree saved from virgin forests throughout Europe and South America.

An estimated 18 million acres (7.3 million hectares) of forest, which is approximately the size of Ireland, are lost each year.
Deforestation is considered to be one of the contributing factors to global climate change. The deforestation of trees not only lessens the amount of carbon stored, it also releases carbon dioxide into the air. This is because when trees die, they release the stored carbon.
This is why SWEP Industries is commited to promoting the use of alternate fuels for our everyday lives.
Our Commitment
Using the latest technology and machinery, specialising in processing this waste into a sustainable fuel at our Murcia HUB and deliver to regional end users or exported via the port of Cartagena. Projected production - We estimate in 2021 to produce 200.000 ton of Biomass increasing to 600.000 ton in 2022.

As energy producers we all need to address the mass deforestation throughout the world with more sustainable solutions provided to avoid natural virgin forests disappearing at a rate of 18 million acres per year. Deforestation is considered to be one of the contributing factors to global climate change.
We are proud to announce our latest investment of an 11.000 sqm plant in Murcia, Spain which is set to be the Biomass HUB producing green fuel solutions from the Spanish agricultural industry.
Providing a safe and sustainable solution for the waste from fruit trees and the replanting. Until now this has been burned off, which emits toxic smoke and can be harmful to people.
